IN CONJUNCTION WITH VIFF’S CONTRIBUTION TO INDIAN SUMMER FESTIVITIES MOV AND VIFF PRESENT A FREE SCREENING OF THE ANIMATED, ENTERTAINING FEATURE LENGTH FILM, SITA SINGS THE BLUES.

Nina Paley’s film is a fantastic animated riff on the ancient Hindu epic The Ramayana. Sita Sings The Blues is an eye-popping adventure, mixed in with wittily rueful personal reflection, a very accessible example of regarding the classical tradition with a modern eye. The kaleidoscopic visual effects are a joy to behold.

Sita Sings the Blues will screen in our intimate theatre located on the lower level of the museum.
