Rhythm ‘n’ Roots is a joyful, adventurous and soulful ensemble - fearlessly performing powerful songs drawn from diverse vocal traditions throughout the world.  The small East Van choir EDNA was Rhythm ‘n’ Roots genealogy, which began in 2008, enjoying 5 years of fun, artistic growth and musical development. The larger 50+ voice choir was born in the fall of 2013 . Rhythm ‘n’ Roots is an auditioned community choir under the direction of Karla Mundy. The ensemble learns their music both by ear and from written scores; they sing in many languages (English, Spanish, Portuguese, Georgian, Yoruban, Swedish, Latvian).  Many of its members travel to the source of their music such as the country of Georgia, Cuba, and New Orleans. The choir is looking forward to a musical adventure in Ireland in the spring of 2020. https://www.facebook.com/RhythmNRootsChoir/
